While Civita Skillers focuses on preparing aspiring craftspersons and tradespeople in Uganda and East Africa for the construction and real estate development sectors, Asgard Developers carries that vision into the marketplace through development, contracting, and tools.
Real Estate Development and Consulting
We plan, structure, and deliver real estate development projects with a special focus on housing and hospitality. Our team supports landowners, investors, and partners with feasibility studies, project concepts, financial modelling, and development management so that projects are buildable, bankable, and aligned with local demand in Uganda and the wider region. Uganda faces an estimated housing shortage of approximately eight million units, with demand for around 300,000 new housing units per year, creating a sizeable development opportunity for affordable and mid-market residential and mixed-use projects.
Construction for Residential, Commercial, and Hospitality Projects
Asgard Developers builds and renovates residential and commercial properties with a niche in the hospitality industry. We draw on the Civita Skillers talent pipeline to staff disciplined site teams that respect safety, quality, and timelines. Each project becomes both a live training ground and a reference for the standard of work we expect from our apprentices and alumni. The construction industry in Africa is projected is valued at about $240.55 billion in 2025 and forecasted to reach $345.34 billion by 2030 at CARG of 7.5%%, underscoring ongoing demand for built assets across the continent.
Business Incubation Hub for Trades and Small Contractors
Through the Civita Skillers business incubation hub, managed by Asgard Developers, promising graduates and early stage contractors receive mentorship, support with costing and bidding, basic systems for finance and compliance, and access to real contracts. The goal is to grow small, reliable firms that can serve developers, hospitality operators, and institutional clients with confidence. This incubation approach directly addresses the wider skills gap in Africa’s construction sector, where formal vocational training coverage remains low relative to demand, creating opportunities for structured work-ready talent pipelines.
Sales of Construction Craft Tools and Jobsite Essentials
To support both training and emerging businesses, Asgard Developers will offer a curated range of professional construction tools and accessories. This includes hand tools such as hammers, pliers, wrenches, and screwdrivers, power tools such as drills and grinders, plumbing and electrical tools, measuring and layout tools like tapes and levels, painting and masonry tools, personal protective equipment, and selected welding and lifting accessories, similar to the full line offered by global multi-category tool suppliers. The broader Ugandan construction and design tools market is expected to grow in tandem with sector expansion, supported by both urban development and infrastructure projects.
